This project was super fun to work on, especially engaging with the different licenses and having to problem solve each one to work with the Pixel Pals line. I worked with my colleague Espi Leon on this project, and art directed a new style guide for the Pixel Pals line. You can see from the before/after image that I wanted the Pixel Pal to be more visible, therefore we incorporated a bigger window cutout for the structure. Overall the layout we devised is more fun and evident of its IP. I was also able to leverage the product manager’s development of a Try Me button and incorporate it into the design. It serves as a visual bullseye prompting the consumer/collector to physically activate the Pixel Pals most important feature, which is to light up.
